2. Create the First iSCSI Disk
2-1. Add iSCSI Target Role
Click "Manage", click "Add Roles and Features" from the server manager
Click "Next"
Click "Next"
Click "Next"
Select "iSCSI Target Server"
Click "Add Features"
Select "iSCSI Target Storage Provider"
Click "Next"
Click "Install"
Click "Close" when finished
2-2 Create the first iSCSI disk and Configure the iSCSI Target
Click "File and Storage Services" at the left panel of the server manager
Click "iSCSI" from the lest panel and click "to create an iSCIC disk..." or select it from the TASKS dropdown list from the right top corner
Select the volume Q: 7.93 GB then click "Next".
Q is a virtual disk which created from the storage pool.
Type "iscsi01" in the Name textbox then click "Next"
Use "7.9" GB for the disk size and make sure "Dynamically Expanding" is selected, click "Next"
By default, "New iSCSI Target" is selected because there is no existing iSCSI Target in this server.
2-3. Configure the iSCSI initiator
Click "Add" to add a specify the iSCSI initiators that will access this iSCSI virtual disk
Select "Enter a value for the selected type"
Select "IP address" at the Type dropdown list
Type "10.0.0.1" in the IP Value textbox. Click "OK"
10.0.0.1 is the IP address of Domain Controller DC01. We will use it as the first iSCSI initiator
Certainly, it is available to use another name from the "Type" dropdown list to set up the initiator such as FQDN and so on
The first iSCSI initiator is created. The second will be created later as another practice
Click "Next"
Click "Create"
Click "Close" when completed
Verify the iSCSI Target has been created from the "iSCSI Targets" window
