4.   Configure and Prepare Skype server


   4-1        Add “sysop” and “Domain Admin” group into Local Administrators Group of Skype server

  4-2        Skype Server Install Prerequisites

                                                   4-2-1      Mount Windows server 2016 ISO on DVD drive


                                                   4-2-2      Run the below PowerShell command as administrator for adding Windows Roles and Features

  4-4        Create share folder on skype server “SkypeSvr” and setup permissions 


                                                   4-4-1      Grant “sysop”, “Domain Admin” and Skype server “Local Administrators” group with full control permission on c:\share, share named “Share” on Skype server.

Because the “Prepare Active Directory for Skype Server” has not been processed, the 4 RTC accounts are not created yet. Those 4 accounts will be added and granted full control permission on the “share” folder after Skype preparation schema, forest and domain have been created and completed. (Refer to section 4-9-1 or Figure 22)

                                                   4-6-2      Verify the configuration of Schema on Domain controller by using “ASDI Edit”. The “rangeUpper” value is “1150” at the “CN=ms-RTC-SIP-SchemaVersion Properties” property.

                                                   4-7-3      Verify Prepare Current Forest on Domain controller by opening “Active Directory user and computer”. There are several CSxxxxxxx universal security groups created such as CSAdministrator group.

                                                   4-8-2      Verify Current Domain Successfully prepared by running the following PowerShell command. Then it responds “LC_DOMAINSETTINGS_STATE_READY” when success.

  4-9        Assign full control share and security permission to the 4 RTCXXXXX accounts on c:\share

                                                   4-9-1      The shared folder has been assigned full control permission to “sysop”, “Domain Admin” group and Skype server “Local Administrators” group on the previous step. (Refer to section 4-4-1 or Figure 14)
