3. Test the Shared Folder "IT"
3-1. Check shared folder is ready and Create a subfolder and file at the client computer
At the server FS01, Open file explorer
Check the folder E:\ShareFolder\IT is created
Switch to FS02, then open file explorer
Check the folder E:\ShareFolder\IT is created
Switch to the windows 8.1 computer PC01, then open file explorer
Type "\\jameslab\namespcae01\" then the "IT" appear automatically. That means the shared folder "IT" is successful to use
Create a folder in the "IT" folder
Create a text file names "IT Test.txt" in the "IT Test" folder
Input "Test from PC01" in the file and save it.
3-2. Map the "IT" folder as a network drive
Right click on the "Network", Click "Map network drive..."
Select the letter "Z" as the drive letter
Type \\jameslab\nalespcae01\IT" in the folder textbox
(I did a typo when creating the namespace, refer to Chapter 1)
Click "Finish"
Now the drive Z: is created and ready for use
3-3. Check Primary and Secondary
Right click on the folder "IT Test", click "Property"
Select "DFS" tab, look at the referral list, the path of "\\FS01\IT" is ACTIVE
It is because we set FS01 is the primary member in the replication group
